Tips
- Portable mode writes nothing permanent to SQL Server — safe for quick incident checks.
- Enterprise collectors need Agent (or equivalent scheduling) and the permissions listed in the install section.
- If Azure SQL or RDS behaves differently, see cloud notes inside the Enterprise Getting Started section.
- Tune retention early so history tables do not grow without a plan.
