DBLense Compare — User Guide

Compare schema and data between two SQL Server databases, review differences side-by-side, and generate T-SQL sync scripts to make the target match the source.

Overview

DBLense Compare is a portable Windows desktop app with four workspaces:

  • Schema Compare — structural differences (tables, columns, indexes, constraints, views, procedures, functions, triggers)
  • Data Compare — row-level differences across matched tables
  • Sync Script — generated T-SQL to review, copy, or save
  • Log — session activity and progress messages

The guided top bar walks you through 1 Source → 2 Target → 3 Compare. Use the swap control between Source and Target to reverse direction without reconnecting.
