Licenses are per user, per year. There is one subscription type: a full product license. We do not sell Standard and Enterprise editions. Every subscriber gets the same features for the tools they buy.
Each seat issues one license key. That key belongs to one person and activates on one machine.
A seat is one named user. Anyone who runs a DBLense tool needs their own seat. If the same person needs the tool on a second computer, purchase an additional seat.
The Suite is one license per user covering four core tools — QueryStore Analyzer, Script Runner, Log Reader, and SQL Server XRAY — at a discount versus buying them separately. Other tools are sold individually. See Pricing for current Suite and per-tool rates.
All licenses are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. Updates and bug fixes are included during that year. When the term ends, the tool is not accessible until you renew. Your data and settings are preserved.
After purchase, you receive a license key by email. To activate:

No. Each license key activates on one machine. A second computer needs another seat. You can deactivate the current machine and activate on a new one if you are replacing a workstation.
Yes. Deactivate the current machine from your Account page under My Licenses → Activated Machines → Deactivate. That frees the seat so you can activate on the new machine.
Yes. There is no limit on SQL Server instances. The license is per user, not per server. You can connect to as many instances as you need from the activated machine.

Yes. Buy additional seats for more people, or add individual tools, from the Pricing page. There is no edition upgrade — every subscription is the same full license.
Yes. Volume pricing is built in: 1–5 users at list price, 6–12 users at a lower per-user rate, and 13+ at the lowest published tier. For site licenses or a custom agreement, contact sales@dblense.com.
